Directions to Howard Law School

Driving:

From Reagan National Airport Exit Airport and follow signs to Washington, DC Take the right exit to DC. Take I-395 North/US-1 North. Follow signs to US-1 North. US-1 becomes 14th Street, NW. Go up 14th Street and make a left on K Street. Get in the right lane and go about four blocks to Connecticut Avenue. Make a right on Connecticut Avenue. Make a right on Van Ness. (The University of DC is on the left). Howard University School of Law is at the end of the cul-de-sac.

Driving: If driving from the south, refer to I-395 directions above.

From Dulles International Airport Exit Airport and take the Toll Road to 66 east. Once on 66 east take 495 north/east (towards Baltimore). Once on 495 east, take the Connecticut Avenue exit. Turn left and go south on Connecticut Avenue for about three miles. (A Burger King will be on the right and you should begin to go up a small hill. Go through two more lights; the next street is Van Ness.) Make a left on Van Ness. (The University of DC is on the right). Howard University School of Law is at the end of the cul-de-sac.

Driving: If driving from the north, take 495 west and refer to directions above.

From Baltimore-Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport._Exit Airport and take the Baltimore-Washington Parkway (MD 295) south. Exit B/W Parkway onto I-95 north. Take I-495 north to I-495 west. Take I-495 to Connecticut Avenue (Exit 31). Turn left and go south on Connecticut Avenue for about three miles. (A Burger King will be on the right and you should begin to go up a small hill. Go through two more lights; the next street is Van Ness.) Make a left on Van Ness. (The University of DC is on the right). Howard University School of Law is at the end of the cul-de-sac.

Local Public Transportation Directions:

The Metro Station for the Howard University School of Law is Van Ness/UDC, which is on the Red Line.

Take the Red Line (depending on your original station) to Shady Grove or Silver Spring. Proceed on the Red Line to the Van Ness/UDC station and exit there. Follow the exit to the right hand side Connecticut Avenue. Follow Connecticut Avenue to Van Ness Street proceed left. Bank of America is on the corner. Follow Van Ness to the end of the street. As you walk down the street you will see that Van Ness has a number of apartment buildings on both sides of the street. At the end of Van Ness, there is a circle. The Howard University Law School and Library face the circle. The Law Library is the large, new facility ahead.

Parking:

Directly behind the Law School is a large parking lot. Parking is by permit only. Therefore, it is recommended that you take the Metro to the campus.
