Howard University School of Law Alumna, Representative Summer Lee (D-PA) will be our 2023 Pinning Ceremony Speaker

Howard University School of Law Alumna, Representative Summer Lee (D-PA) will be our 2023 Pinning Ceremony Speaker on Friday, August 11, 2023, at 6:00pm. She is a member of Howard Law Class of 2015. Congresswoman Lee was elected to the U.S. House of Representative for Pennsylvania’s 12th District in 2022, becoming the first Black woman ever elected to Congress from Western Pennsylvania. Before being elected to the U.S. House of Representative, in 2018 Congresswoman Lee was elected to the State House where she also made history, becoming the first Black woman from Western Pennsylvania ever elected to the legislature. The Howard Law community is thrilled to welcome Congresswoman Summer Lee back to West Campus.
