Third year student Autumn Hooker and Professor Carlton Waterhouse pictured in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia where Autumn presented her paper, "Building Social Capital To Combat Discriminatory Zoning & Environmental Degradation" at the 2023 meeting of the International Sustainable Development Research Society. The meeting, which brings together scholars from around the world conducting research on sustainability, climate change, and the environment, took place at the National University of Malaysia in July. Autumn was sponsored by the Environmental and Climate Justice Center, the Thurgood Marshall Civil Rights Center, and the Dean's Office of the law school.
