Howard University School of Law complies with applicable laws prohibiting discrimination, including Titles VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the District of Columbia Human Rights Act of 1977, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Executive Order 11246, Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972, Sections 503 and 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1972-3, the Vietnam Era Veterans Adjustments Assistance Act, the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, the American with Disabilities Act of 1990, and all other applicable federal, state, and local laws that prohibit discrimination, harassment, and retaliation in employment and/or at academic institutions. 

The University neither discriminates nor tolerates discrimination or harassment against any person in employment matters, or in the provision of its education programs or activities based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, ethnicity, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, marital status, age, matriculation, political affiliation, military or protected veteran status, genetic information, personal appearance, status as a direct or indirect victim of domestic violence, sexual offense, or stalking, or any other legally protected classifications, activities or conditions.
