Intellectual Property Law Students Association

The Intellectual Property Student Association at Howard University School of Law was established to encourage law students to become actively involved in promoting the practice of intellectual property law in its various forms and encouraging those students with technical and non-technical backgrounds to pursue their interest in this practice area upon graduation in an effort to feed the pipeline for qualified African-American IP lawyers. IPSA has accomplished these objectives by building strategic alliances with area IP law student associations, judges and leading IP attorneys. IPSA’s interactive monthly meetings combine insight from local practitioners on advancements in IP and question and answer sessions to encourage networking and build awareness of the importance and continued advancement of intellectual property law.
