What is the HPILS Auction?

Starting in 2004, the Howard Public Interest Law Society (HPILS) has sponsored a yearly fundraising event-- the Annual Public Interest Benefit Auction & Alumni Reception (the "HPILS Auction") -- to provide scholarships to first and second-year law students working in unpaid positions in the public interest field during the summer.

Each year, HUSL students volunteer their time and effort to plan and host the HPILS Auction. The Auction consists of a Silent Auction, where students, faculty, and alumni can actively bid on auction items on the Auction Website while remaining anonymous. The HUSL community can also participate in the Live Auction on the day of the event to secure the year's most sought-after items.
