Class of 2020 Haley Johnson Lands at Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy

Howard University School of Law Class of 2020 graduate Haley Johnson will always carry with her the experiences of getting to represent clients through the Criminal Justice Clinic and receiving the Tamar Meekins Award. She also will remember organizing the event “Looking for Justice: The Rocky Myers Story,” which informed students about the injustices in the death penalty. Johnson was president of Howard Public Interest Law Society; president of American Constitution Society; Student Bar Association secretary; Women’s Law Student Association secretary; and a member of Phi Alpha Delta. She will work with the Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy, the state-wide public defenders service, in the Capital Trial Branch.
