For graduating student Damani Ashton, there were three highlights that he will hold dear from his Howard University School of Law experience: interning at Warner Records through Howard Entertainment, a partnership between Amazon Studios and Howard University designed to diversify the pipeline for talent across the entertainment industry; attending the Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association Conference in Mexico; and working with 1Ls to improve their writing as a Dean's Fellow.

Ashton also was senior staff editor for the Howard Human & Civil Rights Law Review, and participated in the Civil Rights Clinic, IP Trademark Clinic, Sports & Entertainment Law Student Association, and in the partnership with Thurgood Marshall Academy.

Ashton will go on to work as corporate associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP.
